Moxonidine falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Chanca Piedra interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of chanca piedra with antihypertensive drugs might have additive blood pressure lowering effects.
Animal research suggests that chanca piedra can decrease blood pressure. However, this effect was not observed in most hypertensive patients treated with chanca piedra for 10 days.

Here's the short version: Moxonidine already lowers your blood pressure, and chanca piedra may nudge it down a little too. Put them together and, in theory, those effects could stack up. If your pressure drops too low, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy, tired, or a bit woozy when you stand up quickly.

That said, I don't want to overstate this. The blood pressure effect comes mostly from animal studies, and when researchers gave chanca piedra to people with high blood pressure for 10 days, most didn't see a meaningful drop. So this is a theoretical, low-likelihood concern. If you'd like to try the herb, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor, and keep an eye on your readings at home.
