Acrivastine, Pseudoephedrine falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Ephedra interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use might increase the risk for serious adverse effects.

Here's the key thing to know: Semprex D already contains pseudoephedrine, which is a stimulant decongestant, the very same type of compound found in ephedra. So pairing the two means you're essentially stacking two stimulants on top of each other. That can push your blood pressure higher and speed up your heart, raising the odds of a racing or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, headache, and in serious cases dangerous spikes in blood pressure.

This isn't a prodrug situation, it's a simple additive effect, two stimulants doing the same job at once. The evidence is mostly anecdotal, but the risk is taken seriously because ephedra itself has been tied to strokes and heart problems. Ephedra is also banned in U.S. supplements. Please don't combine these, and check with your pharmacist or doctor about safer options.
