These two interact in 2 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 2 Interactions?
Green Coffee interacts with whole categories of medication. Nicotine falls into 2 of those categories, so it can interact with Green Coffee in 2 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Moderate).
STIMULANT DRUGS
1 of 2Why this applies to Nicotine
Nicotine falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Green Coffee interacts with.
Green coffee can contain caffeine. Due to the central nervous system (CNS) stimulant effects of caffeine, concomitant use with stimulant drugs can increase the risk of adverse effects.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: green coffee naturally contains caffeine, and caffeine is a stimulant. Nicotine, whether you're getting it from a patch, gum, lozenge, or inhaler, is also a stimulant. When you stack two stimulants together, their effects can add up.
In real life that might feel like a faster or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, anxiety, or a bit of an upset stomach. Honestly, this is more of a theoretical caution based on expert opinion, not strong studies, and it's the caffeine driving it rather than anything unique to nicotine. Small amounts of coffee usually aren't a big deal, but concentrated green coffee supplements pack more caffeine. If you notice your heart racing or feel wired, check in with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

NICOTINE
2 of 2Green coffee can contain caffeine. Concomitant use of caffeine and nicotine has been shown to have additive cardiovascular effects, including increased heart rate and blood pressure. Blood pressure was increased by 10.8/12.4 mmHg when the agents were used concomitantly.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: both green coffee and nicotine are stimulants for your heart and blood vessels. Green coffee naturally contains caffeine, and when you pair that with nicotine (whether from a patch, gum, lozenge, inhaler, or spray), the two can stack on top of each other. Studies have actually seen blood pressure climb by roughly 10/12 mmHg when caffeine and nicotine are used together, plus a faster heart rate.
For most people this is a moderate concern, not an emergency, but if you already deal with high blood pressure or a racing heart, that combo could leave you feeling jittery, flushed, or with a pounding pulse. The caffeine in food-sized coffee amounts is usually mild, but concentrated green coffee supplements pack more punch. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Nicotine page
“Nicotine itself is a stimulant, whether it comes from a Nicoderm CQ patch, Nicorette gum, or a Nicotrol inhaler, so treat this list with genuine care. Of the 64 supplements and herbs on file, 44 add more stimulation on top of the nicotine, which can push heart rate and blood pressure higher than either would alone.”

About Green Coffee
What is Green Coffee?
- Weight loss
- High blood pressure
- Blood sugar control
- Antioxidant support
- General energy
Green coffee is the unroasted bean of the coffee plant, prized for its high chlorogenic acid content. Some early studies suggest modest benefits for weight, blood pressure, and blood sugar, but the evidence is limited and far from conclusive. It contains caffeine, so people sensitive to stimulants should use caution and check with a pharmacist or doctor first.
