These two interact in 2 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 2 Interactions?
Green Coffee interacts with whole categories of medication. Ephedrine Sulfate falls into 2 of those categories, so it can interact with Green Coffee in 2 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Moderate).
STIMULANT DRUGS
1 of 2Why this applies to Ephedrine Sulfate
Ephedrine Sulfate falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Green Coffee interacts with.
Green coffee can contain caffeine. Due to the central nervous system (CNS) stimulant effects of caffeine, concomitant use with stimulant drugs can increase the risk of adverse effects.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: green coffee naturally contains caffeine, and ephedrine is itself a stimulant. When you stack two stimulants together, their effects can add up. That can mean a faster or pounding heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, restlessness, headache, or trouble sleeping. Ephedrine isn't a prodrug, so there's no enzyme flip to worry about here. This is just two stimulants pushing in the same direction.
Honestly, this concern is mostly theoretical and based on expert opinion, not strong studies. Still, since ephedrine is usually given in serious settings (like for low blood pressure), it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding a green coffee supplement, especially concentrated doses rather than a normal cup of coffee.

BETA-ADRENERGIC AGONISTS
2 of 2Ephedrine Sulfate also falls under BETA-ADRENERGIC AGONISTS.
Green coffee can contain caffeine. Caffeine can increase cardiac inotropic effects of beta-agonists.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: green coffee carries caffeine, and caffeine is a stimulant. Ephedrine is also a stimulant that revs up your heart and blood vessels. When you stack two stimulants together, the effects can add up. In theory, the caffeine in green coffee could make ephedrine's heart-related effects a little stronger.
What might you notice? Things like a racing or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, higher blood pressure, trouble sleeping, or feeling wired. I want to be honest though, this concern is theoretical, based on how these two work rather than strong studies. A small amount of green coffee is unlikely to be a big deal, but concentrated supplement doses are where I'd be more careful. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

About Green Coffee
What is Green Coffee?
- Weight loss
- High blood pressure
- Blood sugar control
- Antioxidant support
- General energy
Green coffee is the unroasted bean of the coffee plant, prized for its high chlorogenic acid content. Some early studies suggest modest benefits for weight, blood pressure, and blood sugar, but the evidence is limited and far from conclusive. It contains caffeine, so people sensitive to stimulants should use caution and check with a pharmacist or doctor first.
