ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Insulin (Human)
Insulin (Human) falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Green Coffee interacts with.
In clinical research, green coffee extract results in modest reductions in blood glucose levels in various populations. However, other reports claim that caffeine might increase or decrease blood sugar levels.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Here's the gist for green coffee and your insulin. Insulin works by lowering your blood sugar, and green coffee may nudge blood sugar a little on its own. The chlorogenic acid in it might lower sugar slightly, while the caffeine could push it either direction. So in theory, stacking the two could shift your numbers a bit, most often a touch lower.
Honestly, this is a minor, unlikely interaction backed by fairly weak studies, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Just keep an eye on your readings if you start a green coffee supplement, and watch for signs of low sugar like shakiness, sweating, or feeling lightheaded. Loop in your pharmacist or doctor before adding it so they can help you watch your numbers.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Insulin (Human) page
“With human insulin (Novolin, Afrezza), extra glucose lowering is not a nuisance, it is the hazard itself, and this is one of the lists I treat as genuinely serious. Nearly every ingredient here either drops blood sugar on its own or adds to insulin's effect, and the combination can push a normal dose into hypoglycemia, a dangerous low.”

About Green Coffee
What is Green Coffee?
- Weight loss
- High blood pressure
- Blood sugar control
- Antioxidant support
- General energy
Green coffee is the unroasted bean of the coffee plant, prized for its high chlorogenic acid content. Some early studies suggest modest benefits for weight, blood pressure, and blood sugar, but the evidence is limited and far from conclusive. It contains caffeine, so people sensitive to stimulants should use caution and check with a pharmacist or doctor first.
About Human Insulin Injection
What Is Human Insulin Injection Used For?
Brand names: Novolin N, Novolin 70/30, Novolin R, Novolin L, Afrezza
Novolin (human insulin injection) is used to improve glycemic control — meaning blood sugar management — in adults and children with diabetes mellitus.
Novolin 70/30 is a fixed-ratio mixture of intermediate-acting and short-acting human insulin. Because the ratio is fixed, it cannot be adjusted separately for background (basal) or mealtime (prandial) needs.
