Timolol falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Green Coffee interacts with.

Theoretically, taking green coffee with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Clinical studies have shown that green coffee extract decreases blood pressure. When used with antihypertensive drugs, green coffee might have additive blood pressure-lowering effects. However, this has not been shown in clinical research.

Here's the gist for you. Timolol is a beta blocker that lowers your blood pressure and slows your heart rate. Green coffee, thanks to its chlorogenic acid, may also nudge blood pressure down a bit on its own. Put the two together and you could, in theory, get a little extra drop in blood pressure.

What that might feel like is dizziness, lightheadedness when you stand up, or feeling unusually tired. To be honest, this is mostly a theoretical concern, and good clinical studies haven't actually confirmed it happens. Everyday coffee amounts are unlikely to matter much, but concentrated green coffee supplements are more of a question mark. If you'd like to start one, just check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

About Timolol

What Is Timolol Used For?

Brand names: Blocadren, Timol, Timoptic

Timolol is available in ophthalmic (eye) forms and as an oral tablet, and each form has its own approved uses. Ophthalmic formulations — including Betimol, Istalol, Timolol GFS, Timolol hemihydrate, Timolol Maleate eye drops, and Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Gel Forming Solution — are used to lower elevated intraocular pressure (pressure inside the eye) in people with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.

Timolol Maleate tablets are used orally for three separate conditions: treating high blood pressure (alone or combined with other blood pressure medicines), reducing the risk of death and repeat heart attack in people who have survived a heart attack and are clinically stable, and preventing migraine headaches.
