Betrixaban falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Chanca Piedra interacts with.

Theoretically, chanca piedra might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro research suggests that methyl brevifolincarboxylate, a constituent isolated from chanca piedra, can inhibit platelet aggregation. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Betrixaban is a blood thinner that works by blocking factor Xa, a key step in clot formation. The concern here is simple: combining it with chanca piedra could, in theory, nudge your bleeding risk a little higher. That's because one compound found in chanca piedra has been shown in lab dishes to slow platelets (the cells that help blood clump). So you'd potentially be hitting your clotting system from two angles at once.

I want to be honest about how shaky this is. The platelet effect has only been seen in a test tube, never in actual people, so it's a theoretical caution, not a proven problem. Still, since betrixaban already raises bleeding risk on its own, watch for easy bruising, nosebleeds, or unusual bleeding, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing the two.
