Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Acenocoumarol
Acenocoumarol falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Coffee interacts with.
Coffee contains caffeine. Caffeine is reported to have antiplatelet activity. Theoretically, the caffeine in coffee might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with these agents. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans. There is some evidence that caffeinated coffee might increase the fibrinolytic activity in blood.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Acenocoumarol (Sintrom) is a blood thinner with a very narrow safety window, so even small shifts in how thin your blood becomes can change your bleeding risk. The concern here is that the caffeine in coffee may, in theory, make platelets a little less sticky and slightly boost the breakdown of clots, which could add to acenocoumarol's effect.
I want to be honest about the strength of this one: it comes only from lab and animal data, and it has not been seen in real people drinking coffee. So your usual cup or two is very unlikely to cause a problem. Still, watch for signs like easy bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding gums, and keep your coffee habit fairly steady. If anything changes, check with your pharmacist or doctor before adjusting anything.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Acenocoumarol page
“Acenocoumarol (Sintrom) is a blood thinner in the warfarin family, and it lives in a narrow zone where a little too much means bleeding and a little too little means clots. So treat its 221 supplement interactions as a real safety issue, not fine print.”

About Coffee
What is Coffee?
- Alertness and reducing fatigue
- Mental focus and concentration
- Athletic performance
- Headache relief
- Weight management
Coffee is a widely consumed beverage made from roasted coffee beans, valued mainly for its caffeine, which boosts alertness and energy. For most healthy adults, moderate coffee intake is generally safe and may have some health benefits, but too much can cause jitteriness, poor sleep, and a faster heartbeat. People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or sensitive to caffeine should limit their intake and check with a doctor or pharmacist.
