Here's the simple version. Your Brovana (arformoterol) is a long-acting beta agonist, meaning it gently stimulates the same "fight or flight" receptors that ephedra revs up. Stack the two together and you're essentially pushing the same gas pedal twice. In theory, that could amplify the heart-related effects: a faster or pounding heartbeat, palpitations, tremor or shakiness, jitteriness, and a bump in blood pressure.

I'll be straight with you, though. This concern is based on how these drugs work, not on strong studies in people. That said, ephedra is banned in U.S. supplements for good reason, and I wouldn't pair it with anything. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor about safer options rather than using ephedra at all.

What Is Arformoterol Oral Inhalation Used For?

Brand name: Brovana

Arformoterol tartrate inhalation solution is used for the long-term, twice-daily maintenance treatment of bronchoconstriction (airway narrowing) in adults with COPD, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema.

It is not a rescue inhaler and should not be used for sudden breathing attacks or acute flare-ups of COPD. It is also not approved to treat asthma.
