Here's the concern with pairing ephedra and Hydergine (ergoloid mesylates). Ephedra contains ephedrine, a stimulant that tightens blood vessels and can push blood pressure up. Ergoloid mesylates come from the ergot family, and ergot compounds can also narrow blood vessels. When you stack two things that squeeze blood vessels, the effect can add up. That's why this combo may raise your risk of high blood pressure and excessive narrowing of blood vessels.

Honestly, ephedra is banned in U.S. supplements for good reason, so I'd steer clear of it regardless. This interaction is rated moderate and is largely theoretical, but the direction is real. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
