STIMULANT DRUGS
Why this applies to Pseudoephedrine, Triprolidine
Pseudoephedrine, Triprolidine falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Green Coffee interacts with.
Green coffee can contain caffeine. Due to the central nervous system (CNS) stimulant effects of caffeine, concomitant use with stimulant drugs can increase the risk of adverse effects.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: Actifed combines pseudoephedrine, a decongestant that's also a stimulant, with triprolidine, an antihistamine. Green coffee naturally carries caffeine, which is its own stimulant. When you stack two stimulants together, the pep can tip into too much. Think jitteriness, a racing or pounding heart, trouble sleeping, feeling anxious or wired, and possibly a bump in blood pressure.
To be fair, this is based mostly on expert reasoning rather than hard studies, so it's not a guaranteed problem. A small cup's worth of caffeine probably won't do much, but concentrated green coffee supplements can add up. If you get heart palpitations or feel uncomfortably revved up, check in with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Pseudoephedrine, Triprolidine page
“Ephedra is the interaction I would rule out first for anyone taking pseudoephedrine with triprolidine (Actifed, Triposed). Stacking a second stimulant on a decongestant that already raises blood pressure and heart rate invites real cardiovascular trouble, and that logic runs through most of this list, which deserves genuine care rather…”

About Green Coffee
What is Green Coffee?
- Weight loss
- High blood pressure
- Blood sugar control
- Antioxidant support
- General energy
Green coffee is the unroasted bean of the coffee plant, prized for its high chlorogenic acid content. Some early studies suggest modest benefits for weight, blood pressure, and blood sugar, but the evidence is limited and far from conclusive. It contains caffeine, so people sensitive to stimulants should use caution and check with a pharmacist or doctor first.
