Enoxaparin falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Tiratricol interacts with.

Theoretically, tiratricol might increase the hypoprothrombinemic effects of oral anticoagulants.
Tiratricol is related to thyroid hormones such as levothyroxine. The hypoprothrombinemic effects of oral anticoagulants, including warfarin (Coumadin), are increased by levothyroxine due to increased catabolism of vitamin K-dependent clotting factors. It is not known if tiratricol has a similar effect.

Here's the quick picture. Tiratricol acts like a thyroid hormone, and thyroid hormones can speed up how your body breaks down certain clotting factors. That can make blood thinners work a little harder than expected. With enoxaparin (Lovenox), an injectable blood thinner, the worry would be a stronger blood-thinning effect and more bruising or bleeding, like nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or blood in your urine or stool.

I want to be honest about the strength of this concern. It's theoretical, based on how related thyroid hormones behave, and we don't actually know that tiratricol does the same thing. On top of that, tiratricol is an unapproved, risky ingredient the FDA warns against, so I'd steer clear of it entirely. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing anything with enoxaparin.

Tiratricol (also called TRIAC) is a powerful synthetic thyroid hormone metabolite, not a natural herb, and it has been illegally added to some weight-loss and bodybuilding supplements. It can cause serious heart and thyroid problems, and the U.S. FDA has warned consumers not to use products containing it. It is not a safe or approved dietary supplement, and you should avoid it.

About Enoxaparin Injection

What Is Enoxaparin Injection Used For?

Brand name: Lovenox

Enoxaparin injection is used to prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) — blood clots in the legs — in people having abdominal surgery, hip replacement surgery, or knee replacement surgery, and in hospitalized patients who are largely immobile due to acute illness. It is also used to treat acute DVT, with or without a pulmonary embolism (a clot in the lungs), both in the hospital and at home.

It is also used alongside aspirin to reduce dangerous complications of unstable angina and non-Q-wave heart attack, and to treat acute STEMI (a severe type of heart attack involving full blockage of a coronary artery) in patients who receive clot-dissolving therapy or undergo a procedure to open the blocked artery (PCI).
