Glipizide, Metformin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Tiratricol interacts with.

Theoretically, tiratricol might interfere with blood glucose control.
Tiratricol is related to thyroid hormones, such as levothyroxine, which can interfere with blood glucose control and necessitate adjustment of diabetes drug therapy. It is not known if tiratricol has these effects.

Here's the situation with your Metaglip, which combines glipizide and metformin to lower your blood sugar. Tiratricol acts like a strong thyroid hormone, and thyroid hormones tend to push blood sugar upward. So in theory, adding tiratricol could work against your diabetes medicine and make it harder to keep your numbers in a good range. You might see higher readings, more thirst, or extra trips to the bathroom.

I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical concern based on how these compounds behave, not proven studies with tiratricol itself. The bigger issue is that tiratricol isn't a safe or approved supplement, and the FDA has warned against it because of heart and thyroid dangers. Please skip it, and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using anything like this.
