Tiratricol (also called TRIAC) is a powerful synthetic thyroid hormone metabolite, not a natural herb, and it has been illegally added to some weight-loss and bodybuilding supplements. Oxazepam capsules are used to manage anxiety disorders and for short-term relief of anxiety symptoms. They are also helpful for anxiety that occurs alongside depression.

Oxazepam is particularly useful for older adults experiencing anxiety, tension, agitation, or irritability. It is also used for people going through alcohol withdrawal who have tremors, agitation, or anxiety.
