Alogliptin, Metformin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Chanca Piedra interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use with antidiabetes drugs might affect glucose control and increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Animal research suggests that chanca piedra can have hypoglycemic effects. However, a small clinical study in adults with diabetes shows that chanca piedra extract 25 grams orally daily for 1 week does not lower fasting or postprandial blood glucose levels.

Here's the honest picture with Kazano, which pairs alogliptin and metformin to help lower your blood sugar. There's a thought that chanca piedra might gently nudge blood sugar down on its own. If that happened while you're taking Kazano, the two could in theory stack up and push you a little too low. Signs of low blood sugar include shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a racing heart, or feeling foggy.

But the real-world evidence here is thin. A small study in people with diabetes found chanca piedra didn't actually lower fasting or after-meal blood sugar, and the rest comes mostly from animal work. So this is a low-likelihood, minor concern. If you'd like to try it, just give your pharmacist or doctor a heads-up and keep an eye on your sugar readings at first.
