Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone brand name: Damason-P.
Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone falls into 3 drug categories that Chanca Piedra can interact with; the most serious is rated moderate. Theoretically, chanca piedra might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.

These two interact in 3 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 3 Interactions?
Chanca Piedra interacts with whole categories of medication. Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone falls into 3 of those categories, so it can interact with Chanca Piedra in 3 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Moderate).
ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
1 of 3Why this applies to Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone
Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Chanca Piedra interacts with.
In vitro research suggests that methyl brevifolincarboxylate, a constituent isolated from chanca piedra, can inhibit platelet aggregation. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
This combination product (Damason-P) contains aspirin, which thins the blood by keeping platelets from clumping together. The concern here is the aspirin piece. In lab dishes, one compound from chanca piedra appears to slow platelet clumping too. Stack that on top of aspirin and, in theory, you could nudge the bleeding risk a little higher. That might show up as easier bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or a cut that takes longer to stop.
I want to be honest about the strength of this: it is theoretical, based only on test-tube work, and has not been seen in real people. So no need to panic. Still, since you are already on aspirin, run the chanca piedra by your pharmacist or doctor first, especially before any surgery or dental work.

CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES
2 of 3Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone also falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES.
In vitro research shows that chanca piedra extract increases CYP1A2 activity. Theoretically, chanca piedra might increase metabolism of CYP1A2 substrates and lower serum concentrations. This interaction has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
This combo pill mixes aspirin, caffeine, and hydrocodone for pain relief. The piece that matters here is the caffeine, which your liver clears using an enzyme called CYP1A2. Lab studies (in test tubes, not people) suggest chanca piedra may speed that enzyme up. If that held true in the body, your caffeine could be broken down a little faster, so you might notice less of its pick-me-up effect. This is mild and mostly involves the caffeine, not the pain relief from the hydrocodone or aspirin.
Honestly, this is only a theoretical concern, and it has never been reported in real patients. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but it's still worth mentioning to your pharmacist or doctor before adding chanca piedra, just so everything's on your record.

CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
3 of 3Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone also falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES.
In vitro research shows that chanca piedra extract inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, chanca piedra might increase the levels of CYP3A4 substrates. This interaction has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist with this combo pill (Damason-P). The hydrocodone part relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to be broken down. In lab tests, chanca piedra slowed that same enzyme down. In theory, that could let hydrocodone build up a little more than usual, which might mean stronger effects like extra drowsiness, dizziness, slowed breathing, constipation, or nausea.
I want to be honest though: this is only seen in test-tube research, not in real people, so it's more of a 'keep an eye out' than a red alert. The aspirin and caffeine pieces aren't really the concern here. Before you pair these, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor, especially since hydrocodone is an opioid.

About Chanca Piedra
What is Chanca Piedra?
- Kidney stones
- Gallstones
- Liver support
- Urinary tract health
- Digestive complaints
Chanca piedra is a tropical herb traditionally used as a 'stone breaker' for kidney and gallstones, and for liver and urinary health.
