Dulaglutide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Chanca Piedra interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use with antidiabetes drugs might affect glucose control and increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Animal research suggests that chanca piedra can have hypoglycemic effects. However, a small clinical study in adults with diabetes shows that chanca piedra extract 25 grams orally daily for 1 week does not lower fasting or postprandial blood glucose levels.

Here's the gist for your Trulicity (dulaglutide): the concern with chanca piedra is purely about blood sugar adding up. Some animal studies hint that this herb might lower glucose on its own, so in theory stacking it on top of a medicine that already brings your sugar down could push you a bit too low. That could show up as shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling foggy or weak.

That said, I want to keep this in perspective. A small human study found that even 25 grams a day for a week didn't actually change fasting or after-meal sugar. So the real-world risk looks low and the evidence is thin. Still, if you want to try chanca piedra, give your sugars a closer look for a while and check in with your pharmacist or doctor first.

What Is Dulaglutide Injection Used For?

Brand name: Trulicity

Trulicity (dulaglutide) injection is used alongside diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults and children 10 years and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is not for type 1 diabetes.

Trulicity is also used in adults with type 2 diabetes who have established cardiovascular disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors to lower the risk of major heart events — specifically cardiovascular death, non-fatal heart attack, or non-fatal stroke.
