Dr. Brian Staiger explains PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

This is one of those combinations that looks bigger on paper than it usually is in real life. Your medicine already contains aspirin, which thins the blood by keeping platelets from sticking together, plus its own dose of caffeine. Cola nut is basically a natural caffeine source, and lab studies suggest caffeine may have a mild platelet-slowing effect of its own. In theory, stacking the two could nudge your bleeding risk up a little (think easier bruising, nosebleeds, or stomach upset from the aspirin).

Here's the honest part: this has not actually been seen in people, and the evidence is only test-tube and animal level. You're also doubling up on caffeine, which can mean jitters, a faster heartbeat, or trouble sleeping. I wouldn't panic, but do check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them regularly.

STIMULANT DRUGS

Aspirin, Caffeine, Dover's Pwd also falls under STIMULANT DRUGS.

Theoretically, concomitant use might increase stimulant adverse effects.
Cola nut contains caffeine. Due to the central nervous system (CNS) stimulant effects of caffeine, concomitant use with stimulant drugs can increase the risk of adverse effects.
Severity Moderate Likelihood Probable Evidence C

Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..

Dr. Brian Staiger explains PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

Here's the thing to notice about this combination: your medication (Acedoval/Dovacet) already contains caffeine as one of its ingredients, and cola nut is basically a natural source of caffeine too. So you'd be stacking caffeine on top of caffeine. There's no fancy enzyme blocking going on here, it's simply additive. More caffeine in the mix means a bigger stimulant punch.

What that can feel like is jitteriness, a racing or pounding heart, trouble sleeping, anxiety, or an upset stomach. This is expert-opinion level concern (more theoretical than proven), so it's not an emergency, but it makes sense to be sensible. If you take this product regularly, chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding a cola nut supplement.

Cola nut is a caffeine-containing seed from West Africa used mainly as a natural stimulant for energy and alertness.
