Here's the thing to know if you take estropipate (Ogen or Ortho EST) and reach for cola nut: the issue isn't really with your estrogen, it's with the caffeine. Estrogen tends to slow down how your body clears caffeine. Cola nut is loaded with caffeine, so the two together can let caffeine linger longer than usual.

In plain terms, you might feel the cola nut hitting harder, things like jitteriness, a racing or pounding heart, trouble sleeping, or feeling on edge. The estropipate itself isn't really affected here. This is a moderate, mostly theoretical concern, so a small amount of cola nut likely won't be a big deal, but a concentrated supplement could. If you're sensitive to caffeine, check with your pharmacist or doctor.
