Hydrochlorothiazide, Pindolol falls under DIURETIC DRUGS — the group Cola Nut interacts with.

Theoretically, using cola nut with diuretic drugs might increase the risk of hypokalemia.
Cola nut contains caffeine. In excessive amounts, caffeine can reduce potassium levels due to stimulation of the sodium-potassium pump. Certain diuretics can also lower potassium levels.

Your Viskazide combines two medicines: hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill) and pindolol (a beta blocker). The piece that matters here is the hydrochlorothiazide. Like most thiazide diuretics, it tends to flush some potassium out of your body along with extra fluid. Cola nut is basically a caffeine source, and in large amounts caffeine can also nudge potassium lower. Put together, the worry is that your potassium could dip a bit more than expected.

This is a theoretical concern based on how the ingredients work, not strong human proof, and a cup of cola-flavored tea is unlikely to cause trouble. But low potassium can bring on muscle cramps, weakness, or palpitations. Heavy use of cola nut supplements with this medicine is worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor.
