Here's the thing to watch with Synalgos DC: it contains caffeine, which is a stimulant in its own right. Ephedra (ma huang) is also a powerful stimulant. When you stack two stimulants together, you can push the heart and blood vessels harder than either one alone. That can mean a faster or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, and a spike in blood pressure. In serious cases, people have had dangerous events like irregular rhythms or stroke, which is a big part of why ephedra is banned in U.S. supplements.

This warning is based mostly on anecdotal reports, so it's more of a sensible caution than a proven, predictable reaction. Still, I wouldn't combine them. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor about safer choices before using any ephedra product.

Here's the thing to focus on with Synalgos DC: it contains caffeine, a stimulant. Ephedra (ma huang) is also a powerful stimulant. When you stack two stimulants together, their effects add up. That can mean a racing or pounding heart, jitteriness, anxiety, trouble sleeping, and rising blood pressure. In more serious cases, the combination has been tied to heart attack, stroke, seizures, and even death.

The evidence here is mostly anecdotal, but the potential harm is real and serious, which is why ephedra is banned in U.S. supplements. I would not pair these. The dihydrocodeine and aspirin in this product aren't the main concern, the caffeine plus ephedra is. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using anything with ephedra in it.

Here's the piece of this combo that touches the interaction on file: the caffeine in Synalgos DC is cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. In some animal studies, ephedra appeared to speed that enzyme up, which could clear caffeine a little faster. In plain terms, you might feel slightly less of caffeine's usual kick. I'll be honest with you though, this evidence is theoretical and comes from lab and animal work, so it's not something I'd lose sleep over.

My bigger concern is the bigger picture. Ephedra is a strong stimulant, and stacking it with the caffeine in this product can really push your heart rate and blood pressure up, plus cause jitters and trouble sleeping. Ephedra is also banned in U.S. supplements for good reason. Please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before combining these.
