Nalidixic Acid falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Kava interacts with.

Theoretically, using kava with hepatotoxic drugs might increase the risk of liver damage.
Kava has been linked with over 100 cases of hepatotoxicity. Most cases occur with excessive and prolonged use. There is some concern that kava can adversely affect the liver, especially when used in combination with hepatotoxic drugs.

Here's the concern with pairing kava and nalidixic acid (NegGram), an older antibiotic used mainly for certain urinary tract infections. This isn't about one drug changing the other's blood levels. Instead, both can be tough on the liver, so stacking them together could, in theory, add to the strain. Nalidixic acid has occasionally been linked to liver irritation, and kava on its own has been tied to rare but serious liver injury, usually with heavy or long-term use.

I want to be honest that this is theoretical and based only on scattered case reports, not strong studies. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor. Watch for warning signs like yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness, and please don't start, stop, or change anything on your own.
