Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
STIMULANT DRUGS
Why this applies to Acetaminophen, Pseudoephedrine, Triprolidine
Acetaminophen, Pseudoephedrine, Triprolidine falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Rauvolfia Vomitoria interacts with.
Yohimbine, a constituent of Rauvolfia vomitoria, has sympathomimetic effects and increases blood pressure in a dose-dependent manner. Theoretically, taking Rauvolfia vomitoria with stimulant drugs can have additive stimulant and hypertensive effects.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the thing to know about Actifed Plus ES: one of its ingredients, pseudoephedrine, is a stimulant decongestant that already nudges your blood pressure and heart rate up. Rauvolfia vomitoria contains yohimbine-related compounds that can also act like a stimulant and raise blood pressure. Put them together and those effects may stack on top of each other.
In real terms, that could mean a faster or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, headache, or a noticeable spike in blood pressure. This concern is based on how these compounds work rather than hard studies, so it's theoretical, but pseudoephedrine and blood pressure are a combo I take seriously. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, especially if you already have high blood pressure or heart issues.

Rauvolfia vomitoria is an African shrub whose root contains powerful alkaloids, including reserpine, that have historically been used for high blood pressure and agitation.
