Indapamide falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Tree Turmeric interacts with.

Theoretically, taking tree turmeric along with antihypertensive drugs might have additive effects and increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research suggests that berberine, a constituent of tree turmeric, can have hypotensive effects. Also, a meta-analysis of clinical research suggests that taking berberine in combination with amlodipine (Norvasc) can lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure when compared with taking amlodipine alone.

Here's the simple version: indapamide is a water pill that lowers your blood pressure. Tree turmeric, mostly because of its berberine content, may gently nudge blood pressure down too. So when you stack them, the worry is they could add up and push your numbers too low.

If that happened, you might notice dizziness, lightheadedness (especially when standing up), tiredness, or feeling faint. Honestly though, this concern comes mostly from animal studies and a small amount of human data with other blood pressure drugs, so it's more theoretical than proven. It's not a reason to panic. If you'd like to try tree turmeric, check in with your pharmacist or doctor first so they can keep an eye on your blood pressure.

What Is Indapamide Used For?

Brand names: Lozol, Lozide

Indapamide tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), either on their own or together with other blood pressure medications. Lowering blood pressure helps reduce the risk of related complications.

Indapamide tablets are also used to treat salt and fluid retention (edema) associated with congestive heart failure. In certain cases, indapamide may also be appropriate during pregnancy when swelling is caused by a medical condition rather than normal pregnancy changes — but routine use in otherwise healthy pregnant women is not recommended.
