Here's the thing to know about pairing yerba mate with Estropipate: this isn't about the estrogen losing or gaining strength. It's the other way around. The estrogen in Ogen or Ortho EST can slow down how your body clears caffeine, and yerba mate is loaded with caffeine. So the caffeine tends to hang around longer and hit harder than you'd expect.

In real life that means a cup or two of mate might leave you feeling jittery, with a racing heart, trouble sleeping, or feeling anxious or shaky. This is considered probable but the evidence is moderate, and a single warm cup now and then likely won't be a big deal. If you drink mate regularly and notice these effects, just space it out or cut back, and check with your pharmacist or doctor.
