Here's the thing about this particular combo pill (Micomp PB): it already contains caffeine right in the formula. So when you drink coffee on top of it, you're essentially stacking caffeine on caffeine. That extra stimulant load is what we're watching for.

In real life, that usually means more of the jittery stuff: a racing or pounding heart, feeling restless or anxious, shaky hands, and trouble sleeping. The good news is this concern is based mostly on expert opinion rather than strong studies, so it's not an emergency. A normal cup or two probably won't undo you, but heavy coffee drinking is where it adds up. Since this medicine also has ergotamine and a barbiturate, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist about your usual coffee habit.

This combination product (Micomp PB) already contains a small dose of caffeine, but the part to focus on here is the pentobarbital, a barbiturate that calms the nervous system and can make you drowsy or relaxed. Caffeine is a stimulant, so drinking coffee on top of this medicine may work against that calming, sedating effect. In plain terms, your coffee could make the pentobarbital feel like it's not working as well, leaving you more alert or restless than expected.

This is mostly a theoretical concern and the effect is usually mild, so an occasional cup likely won't cause big problems. Still, if you notice the medicine isn't settling you the way it should, or if you feel extra jittery, chat with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.
