Here's the tricky part with Tedral: it already contains ephedrine, the same stimulant that ephedra is loaded with. So combining the two means you're essentially doubling up on a strong stimulant, plus the theophylline in Tedral is itself a stimulant to the heart and nervous system. Stacking these is the concern here.

What could that look like? A racing or pounding heart, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, anxiety, and a real risk of dangerously high blood pressure. In serious cases that can lead to heart rhythm problems or stroke. Honestly, ephedra is banned in U.S. supplements for these very reasons, so I'd steer clear of it entirely. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing anything like this.

Here's the tricky part with Tedral: it already contains ephedrine, a stimulant, plus theophylline, which is a methylxanthine that also revs up the heart and nervous system. Adding an ephedra supplement on top stacks two stimulants together, and that's where the danger comes in. We're talking about a real risk of a racing or pounding heart, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, tremor, a spike in blood pressure, and in the worst cases serious events like an irregular heartbeat, heart attack, seizures, or stroke.

The evidence here is mostly anecdotal, but the signal is strong enough and the stakes high enough that I wouldn't combine them. Ephedra is also banned in U.S. supplements for these very reasons. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing anything stimulant-like with Tedral.

Here's the tricky part: this product (Tedral) actually contains ephedra's main stimulant, ephedrine, alongside phenobarbital and theophylline. So adding a separate ephedra supplement basically stacks more stimulant on top of what's already there. The concern on file is that ephedra has been linked to seizures, which could work against the seizure-calming job of the phenobarbital in this combination. This is a theoretical worry based on how these compounds behave, not strong proof.

Practically, doubling up on ephedrine-type stimulants raises the real risk of a racing heart, jitteriness, high blood pressure, and trouble sleeping. Ephedra is banned in U.S. supplements for good reason. Please don't combine these, and talk with your pharmacist or doctor about safer options.
