Green coffee can contain caffeine. Caffeine, especially in excessive amounts, can reduce potassium levels due to stimulation of the sodium-potassium pump. Diuretics can also cause lower potassium levels.

Your Diutensen contains methyclothiazide, a thiazide diuretic (water pill). One of its known side effects is lowering potassium levels in your blood. Here's where green coffee comes in: it carries caffeine, and in larger amounts caffeine can also nudge potassium a bit lower. Put the two together and, in theory, you could end up with potassium that drops more than expected.

I want to be honest about the strength of this concern. It's based on how these things work on paper, not on solid studies, so it's a maybe, not a sure thing. Still, watch for signs of low potassium like muscle cramps, weakness, or an irregular heartbeat. An occasional cup likely won't matter much, but concentrated green coffee supplements add up. Check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Theoretically, taking green coffee with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Clinical studies have shown that green coffee extract decreases blood pressure. When used with antihypertensive drugs, green coffee might have additive blood pressure-lowering effects. However, this has not been shown in clinical research.

Diutensen is a combination blood pressure pill, pairing cryptenamine (which relaxes blood vessels) with methyclothiazide, a water pill. Both lower your blood pressure. Green coffee, thanks to its chlorogenic acid, may also nudge blood pressure down a little. So the concern here is simply addition: two things pushing in the same direction could lower your numbers a bit more than expected.

To be honest, this is mostly theoretical and rated as a minor concern. If it did add up, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy, or wobbly when standing up quickly. A regular cup or two of coffee is unlikely to matter much; concentrated green coffee supplements are more of a question. Check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding it, and let them know if you feel dizzy.
