Nintedanib Esylate falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Green Coffee interacts with.

Theoretically, green coffee may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Green coffee can contain caffeine. Caffeine is reported to have antiplatelet activity. Theoretically, caffeine in green coffee might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with these agents. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans. There is some evidence that caffeinated coffee might increase the fibrinolytic activity in blood.

Here's the situation with green coffee and your Ofev (nintedanib). Nintedanib already carries a small risk of bleeding on its own, and the caffeine in green coffee is thought to have a mild blood-thinning, anti-platelet effect. Put the two together and, at least in theory, you could nudge that bleeding risk a little higher.

I want to be honest about how soft this concern is. It's based on lab reasoning, not on real cases in people, and it's rated unlikely to cause trouble. Still, with nintedanib it's worth watching for things like easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or any unusual bleeding, especially if you take a concentrated green coffee supplement rather than just a cup of coffee. Before adding it, run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

What Is Nintedanib Used For?

Brand name: Ofev

Nintedanib capsules are approved for adults with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) — a chronic, progressive scarring of the lungs — and for adults with chronic fibrosing interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) with a progressive phenotype, meaning fibrosing lung diseases that continue to worsen over time despite treatment.

Nintedanib capsules (including Ofev) are also indicated to slow the rate of decline in lung function in adults with systemic sclerosis-associated interstitial lung disease (SSc-ILD), a lung complication of the autoimmune condition systemic sclerosis (scleroderma). Note that the Nintedanib esylate capsule product is approved for IPF and chronic fibrosing ILDs with a progressive phenotype, but SSc-ILD approval is carried by Ofev and other nintedanib capsule products — always confirm with your prescriber which product you have been prescribed.
