Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
MONOAMINE OXIDASE INHIBITORS (MAOIs)
Why this applies to Ozanimod Hydrochloride
Ozanimod Hydrochloride falls under MONOAMINE OXIDASE INHIBITORS (MAOIs) — the group Green Coffee interacts with.
Green coffee can contain caffeine. Caffeine has been shown to inhibit monoamine oxidase (MAO) A and B in laboratory studies. Concomitant intake of large amounts of caffeine with MAOIs might precipitate a hypertensive crisis.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the connection worth knowing: one of ozanimod's active breakdown products gently blocks an enzyme called MAO, which helps your body clear certain natural stimulating chemicals. Green coffee brings caffeine to the table, and in lab studies caffeine can lightly block that same MAO enzyme. The theory is that stacking the two could let blood-pressure-raising compounds build up, which is why ozanimod's label warns against combining it with foods or supplements that act on MAO.
What that could look like in real life is a sudden spike in blood pressure, with a pounding headache, flushing, or a racing heart. To be fair, this is a theoretical concern based on pharmacology, not strong human data, and a normal cup of coffee is unlikely to be the problem. Concentrated green coffee supplements are the bigger question. Please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them.

About Green Coffee
What is Green Coffee?
- Weight loss
- High blood pressure
- Blood sugar control
- Antioxidant support
- General energy
Green coffee is the unroasted bean of the coffee plant, prized for its high chlorogenic acid content. Some early studies suggest modest benefits for weight, blood pressure, and blood sugar, but the evidence is limited and far from conclusive. It contains caffeine, so people sensitive to stimulants should use caution and check with a pharmacist or doctor first.
