Here's the simple version: both of these lower your blood pressure, so stacking them could push it down too far. Moexipril (Univasc) relaxes your blood vessels, while Rauvolfia vomitoria contains reserpine, an old-school compound that also drops blood pressure. Put them together and the effects can add up.

If your pressure dips too low, you might feel dizzy or lightheaded, especially when standing up, tired, or even faint. I'll be honest, this is a theoretical concern based on how these work, not something proven in studies, so don't panic. Still, this plant is potent and not a casual supplement. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining the two.

What Is Moexipril Used For?

Brand name: Univasc

Moexipril Hydrochloride tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). They can be used on their own or combined with thiazide diuretics (water pills) when blood pressure is not controlled by moexipril alone.

It's worth knowing that ACE inhibitors, including moexipril, tend to lower blood pressure less effectively in Black patients than in non-Black patients, and Black patients also have a higher risk of a serious swelling reaction called angioedema with ACE inhibitors.
