Your medication contains phenobarbital, which calms overactive electrical activity in the brain and helps prevent seizures (the belladonna part mainly eases stomach and gut cramping). Ephedra works in the opposite direction. It's a strong stimulant that revs up the nervous system, and it has actually been linked to reports of seizures itself. So the worry here is that ephedra could work against your seizure control and make a breakthrough seizure more likely.

To be fair, this concern is theoretical, based on how these substances behave rather than solid studies. But ephedra is banned from U.S. supplements for good reason, and mixing a stimulant with a seizure medicine isn't a gamble worth taking. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before using anything containing ephedra.
