Erythromycin Ethylsuccinate, Sulfisoxazole falls under QT INTERVAL-PROLONGING DRUGS — the group Ephedra interacts with.

Theoretically, ephedra might have an additive effect with drugs that prolong the QT interval.
Even in healthy volunteers, EKG changes including prolonged QT interval and premature atrial contractions have been reported with ingestion of recommended doses of ephedra. Ephedra may have an additive effect with drugs that prolong the QT interval. This may increase the risk of ventricular arrhythmias.

Here's the concern with this combination. Pediazole contains erythromycin, an antibiotic well known to affect the heart's electrical timing (what we call the QT interval). Ephedra, with its stimulant compounds ephedrine and pseudoephedrine, can also nudge that timing and has caused EKG changes even in healthy people at normal doses. Stack the two together and you raise the odds of a dangerous abnormal heart rhythm.

In real terms, that could mean a racing or irregular heartbeat, dizziness, fainting, or in rare cases something far more serious. Keep in mind ephedra is banned in U.S. supplements for good reason. Please don't pair these without checking first. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor about safer choices.
