These two interact in 2 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 2 Interactions?
Green Coffee interacts with whole categories of medication. Aspirin, Caffeine, Codeine Phosphate falls into 2 of those categories, so it can interact with Green Coffee in 2 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Moderate).
ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
1 of 2Why this applies to Aspirin, Caffeine, Codeine Phosphate
Aspirin, Caffeine, Codeine Phosphate falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Green Coffee interacts with.
Green coffee can contain caffeine. Caffeine is reported to have antiplatelet activity. Theoretically, caffeine in green coffee might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with these agents. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans. There is some evidence that caffeinated coffee might increase the fibrinolytic activity in blood.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
This combination product already contains aspirin, which thins the blood a bit by keeping platelets from clumping. Green coffee has its own caffeine plus a plant compound called chlorogenic acid, and on paper the caffeine may add a small, extra anti-clotting nudge. So in theory, pairing the two could very slightly raise your chance of bleeding or bruising, things like easy bruises, nosebleeds, or a stomach that's more prone to irritation from the aspirin.
Here's the honest part: this is a theoretical concern based on how these ingredients behave in the lab, not something actually reported in people. The risk is considered unlikely, and a cup or two of coffee is very different from a concentrated green coffee supplement. Still, since you're taking a blood thinner, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding a daily supplement, especially if you notice any unusual bleeding.

STIMULANT DRUGS
2 of 2Aspirin, Caffeine, Codeine Phosphate also falls under STIMULANT DRUGS.
Green coffee can contain caffeine. Due to the central nervous system (CNS) stimulant effects of caffeine, concomitant use with stimulant drugs can increase the risk of adverse effects.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the thing to notice about your medication: it already contains caffeine right in the formula. Green coffee adds even more caffeine on top of that, since the unroasted beans naturally hold a fair amount. Stacking the two means more total stimulant in your system at once.
What might you feel? The usual caffeine overshoot, things like jitteriness, a racing or pounding heart, trouble sleeping, anxiousness, or an upset stomach. This is mostly expert caution rather than hard proof, and a single cup-sized amount probably won't rock the boat. Concentrated green coffee supplements are the bigger concern. The codeine and aspirin parts aren't really the issue here. If you're sensitive to caffeine, check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

About Green Coffee
What is Green Coffee?
- Weight loss
- High blood pressure
- Blood sugar control
- Antioxidant support
- General energy
Green coffee is the unroasted bean of the coffee plant, prized for its high chlorogenic acid content. Some early studies suggest modest benefits for weight, blood pressure, and blood sugar, but the evidence is limited and far from conclusive. It contains caffeine, so people sensitive to stimulants should use caution and check with a pharmacist or doctor first.
