ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Insulin (Pork)
Insulin (Pork) falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Guarana interacts with.
Some conflicting reports claim that caffeine, a constituent of guarana, might increase or decrease blood sugar.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Here's the gist with pork insulin and guarana. Guarana is basically a concentrated caffeine source, and the caffeine is what does anything here. Insulin itself isn't broken down by liver enzymes the way many pills are, so guarana doesn't speed it up or slow it down. Instead, the concern is indirect: caffeine can nudge your blood sugar slightly, and reports go both ways (some say up, some say down).
What that means for you is your numbers could be a touch less predictable, making a low (shakiness, sweating, confusion) or a high a bit harder to read. Honestly, the evidence is weak and this is rated minor and unlikely. If you enjoy guarana, just check your sugars a little more closely and chat with your pharmacist or doctor first.

About Guarana
What is Guarana?
- Energy and alertness
- Reducing fatigue
- Weight loss support
- Athletic performance
- Mental focus
Guarana is an Amazonian seed that is naturally high in caffeine, which explains most of its stimulant and energy effects. While it may give a short-term boost in alertness and reduce fatigue, strong evidence for weight loss or major performance gains is limited, and it carries the same risks as too much caffeine. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using it, especially if you have heart problems, anxiety, or are pregnant.
