Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Chlorpheniramine, Hydrocodone, Pseudoephedrine
Chlorpheniramine, Hydrocodone, Pseudoephedrine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Hemp interacts with.
In vitro research shows that hemp induces CYP3A4 enzymes.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version. This combo product (Tussend) contains hydrocodone for cough, chlorpheniramine for runny nose and sneezing, and pseudoephedrine as a decongestant. Lab research hints that hemp may slightly speed up a liver enzyme called CYP3A4, which helps process the hydrocodone part. In theory, that could clear it a little faster and make it work a touch less, meaning your cough might not be quieted quite as well.
Honestly, I wouldn't lose sleep over this one. The evidence is only from test-tube and animal studies, the rating is minor, and food amounts of hemp seeds or oil are very unlikely to matter. If you're using concentrated hemp supplements regularly, just mention it to your pharmacist so they can keep an eye on things.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Chlorpheniramine, Hydrocodone, Pseudoephedrine page
“Tussend combines three drugs in one cough medicine, the opioid hydrocodone, the antihistamine chlorpheniramine, and the decongestant pseudoephedrine, so supplements can collide with it from several directions. I treat its list of 285 interacting ingredients as one that deserves real respect, and the 16 rated major are what to understan…”

About Hemp
What is Hemp?
- Plant-based protein source
- Heart health support

- Reducing inflammation
- General nutrition (omega fatty acids)
Hemp seeds and hemp seed oil are nutritious foods rich in protein, fiber, and healthy omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, and they are generally safe for most people as part of the diet. While the nutrition is real, strong human evidence that hemp supplements treat specific medical conditions is limited. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using hemp products for a health concern, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
