Codeine, Paracetamol falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Hemp interacts with.

Theoretically, hemp might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research shows that hemp induces CYP1A2 enzymes.

Here's the situation with co-codamol (codeine plus paracetamol) and hemp. The concern on file is that hemp might speed up a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. That said, codeine and paracetamol aren't mainly handled by CYP1A2, so this particular pathway isn't a big driver for either ingredient. Codeine is actually a prodrug that your body switches into morphine using a different enzyme (CYP2D6), so that's where most of the real action happens.

On top of that, this warning comes only from lab and test-tube studies, not from people, and it's rated minor. Everyday food amounts of hemp seeds or oil are very unlikely to cause trouble. If you use concentrated hemp products regularly, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.
