Levorphanol falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Theanine interacts with.

Theoretically, theanine might have additive sedative effects when used in conjunction with CNS depressants. However, it is unclear if this concern is clinically relevant.
Theoretically, theanine may compete with glutamate and/or increase plasma gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) levels, which could cause CNS depression. In one clinical study, some subjects taking oral theanine reported drowsiness.

Levorphanol is a strong opioid pain reliever, and one of its built-in effects is calming down your central nervous system. That can mean drowsiness, slowed thinking, and in higher doses, slowed breathing. Theanine, the relaxing amino acid from tea, is thought to nudge calming brain chemicals like GABA. So in theory, pairing the two could stack a little extra sleepiness on top of what Levorphanol already does.

I want to be honest about the evidence here: this is a theoretical concern based on how theanine works, not something well documented in people. It's rated minor and unlikely. Still, since Levorphanol is a potent opioid, it's worth mentioning to your pharmacist or doctor, especially if you notice extra grogginess. Don't change either one on your own.
