Here's the simple version: moexipril (Univasc) lowers your blood pressure, and theanine may nudge it down a little too. Put them together and there's a theoretical chance your pressure dips lower than expected. If that happens, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or a bit unsteady, especially when you stand up quickly.

I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is. It comes from animal studies, not real-world human cases, so for most people taking a calming dose of theanine this is unlikely to cause a real problem. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before you start, and it's smart to check your blood pressure at home so you know your numbers. Don't change your moexipril on your own.

What Is Moexipril Used For?

Brand name: Univasc

Moexipril Hydrochloride tablets are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). They can be used on their own or combined with thiazide diuretics (water pills) when blood pressure is not controlled by moexipril alone.

It's worth knowing that ACE inhibitors, including moexipril, tend to lower blood pressure less effectively in Black patients than in non-Black patients, and Black patients also have a higher risk of a serious swelling reaction called angioedema with ACE inhibitors.
