Cyamemazine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) INHIBITORS — the group Yohimbe interacts with.

CYP2D6 inhibitors may increase the levels and adverse effects of yohimbine, a constituent of yohimbe.
In vitro and clinical research shows that the yohimbe bark constituent, yohimbine, is metabolized by CYP2D6 isoenzymes. Paroxetine, a cytochrome P450 (CYP) 2D6 inhibitor, increases the maximum serum concentration of yohimbine and reduces the clearance of yohimbine compared to yohimbine alone in patients who are extensive CYP2D6 metabolizers..

Here's the key thing with this pair: cyamemazine (Tercian) blocks an enzyme called CYP2D6, and that same enzyme is what your body uses to break down yohimbine, the active part of yohimbe. So when both are on board, yohimbine isn't cleared as quickly and tends to build up in your system. That means a stronger, longer-lasting yohimbine effect than you'd expect.

In real terms, yohimbine can push up your blood pressure, speed up your heart rate, and trigger anxiety, jitteriness, or trouble sleeping, and having more of it around makes those more likely. This is rated a moderate, probable interaction based on decent human data. Please don't start or stop anything on your own. Check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

Here's the gist with Cyamemazine (Tercian), an antipsychotic in the phenothiazine family. Like many phenothiazines, it has its own effects on alpha-adrenergic receptors, which is part of why it can lower blood pressure and leave people feeling dizzy or lightheaded, especially when standing up. Yohimbe's active piece, yohimbine, also tugs on those same alpha-2 receptors. Stacking the two could, in theory, add up and make blood pressure swings, a racing heartbeat, or that woozy feeling more noticeable.

I want to be honest that this concern is theoretical, based on how the two work rather than real-world reports, so it may never amount to much. Still, yohimbe can be jittery and unpredictable on its own. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them.

Yohimbe is a West African tree bark that contains yohimbine, a compound mainly promoted for erectile dysfunction and as an aphrodisiac. A prescription form of yohimbine has some evidence for erectile dysfunction, but over-the-counter yohimbe supplements vary widely in content and can cause serious side effects like high blood pressure and fast heart rate. Because of these safety concerns, talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using it.
