Theoretically, taking yohimbe with stimulant drugs can have additive effects.
Yohimbine, a constituent of yohimbe, has sympathomimetic effects and increases blood pressure in a dose-dependent manner. Theoretically, taking yohimbe with stimulant drugs can have additive stimulant and hypertensive effects.

Here's the thing with these two together: phentermine is already a stimulant. It's similar to an amphetamine, so it naturally nudges up your heart rate and blood pressure while it curbs your appetite. Yohimbe has its own stimulant-like (sympathomimetic) action and can push blood pressure up too. Stack them and those effects can add up.

So in plain terms, combining them could mean a faster or pounding heartbeat, higher blood pressure, jitteriness, anxiety, or trouble sleeping. This is a theoretical concern based on how both work, not something proven in studies, but it's a reasonable one to take seriously since both lean the same direction. Over-the-counter yohimbe doses are also unpredictable. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing these, and don't stop your phentermine on your own.

Yohimbe is a West African tree bark that contains yohimbine, a compound mainly promoted for erectile dysfunction and as an aphrodisiac. A prescription form of yohimbine has some evidence for erectile dysfunction, but over-the-counter yohimbe supplements vary widely in content and can cause serious side effects like high blood pressure and fast heart rate. What Is Phentermine Used For?

Brand names: Adipex-P, Fastin, T Diet, Phentride, Obenix, Pbc Phentride, Pbw Phentride, Phentrol #3, Ionamin, Phentrol #6, Phentrol #2, Phentrol #5, Phentrol, Obermine, Phentermine, Suprenza

Phentermine is approved as a short-term addition to a weight-loss program — not a standalone treatment. It is used alongside reduced-calorie eating, increased physical activity, and behavior changes to help manage obesity in adults whose body mass index (BMI) is 30 kg/m² or higher, or 27 kg/m² or higher when other risk factors such as controlled high blood pressure, diabetes, or high cholesterol (hyperlipidemia) are also present.

All available phentermine products — including Adipex-P, Lomaira, and various generic capsules and tablets — share this same FDA-approved use. Lomaira tablets are specifically dosed to be taken three times daily before meals, while other formulations are generally taken once daily. Treatment is intended to last only a few weeks.
