ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Insulin Aspart
Insulin Aspart falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Guarana interacts with.
Some conflicting reports claim that caffeine, a constituent of guarana, might increase or decrease blood sugar.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Here's the short version: guarana is basically a big dose of caffeine, and caffeine can nudge your blood sugar in either direction. Some studies suggest it raises blood sugar a little, while others point the other way, so the picture is genuinely mixed. Because Fiasp (insulin aspart) is a fast-acting insulin that lowers your blood sugar at mealtime, the worry is that an unpredictable swing could throw off your control.
Honestly, this is rated as a minor and unlikely interaction, so there's no need to panic. The main thing is to watch for signs your sugar is off, like shakiness, sweating, or feeling lightheaded (low), or extra thirst and fatigue (high). If you regularly use guarana or energy drinks, check your readings and mention it to your pharmacist or doctor so your dosing stays on track.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Insulin Aspart page
“Every one of the 239 supplements listed for insulin aspart (Fiasp) touches the same thing the drug exists to manage, blood sugar, so this list warrants genuine care rather than a quick skim. Most entries add to insulin's glucose-lowering effect, raising the risk of hypoglycemia, and with a rapid-acting mealtime insulin a low can become…”

About Guarana
What is Guarana?
- Energy and alertness
- Reducing fatigue
- Weight loss support
- Athletic performance
- Mental focus
Guarana is an Amazonian seed that is naturally high in caffeine, which explains most of its stimulant and energy effects. While it may give a short-term boost in alertness and reduce fatigue, strong evidence for weight loss or major performance gains is limited, and it carries the same risks as too much caffeine. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using it, especially if you have heart problems, anxiety, or are pregnant.
About Insulin Aspart (rDNA Origin) Injection
What Is Insulin Aspart (rDNA Origin) Injection Used For?
Brand name: Fiasp
Insulin aspart is used to improve blood sugar (glucose) control in people with diabetes mellitus. It is approved for both type 1 and type 2 diabetes in adults, and for diabetes mellitus in pediatric patients.
Insulin Aspart Protamine and Insulin Aspart Mix 70/30 is a pre-mixed product that combines a rapid-acting and an intermediate-acting insulin aspart. It is approved to improve blood sugar control in adult patients with diabetes mellitus. It is not recommended for treating diabetic ketoacidosis, and because its ratio of rapid-acting to intermediate-acting insulin is fixed, it does not allow for separate mealtime versus background dose adjustments.

Insulin Aspart Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Insulin Aspart as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Guarana — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
