Enoxaparin falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Hemp interacts with.

Theoretically, hemp seed might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.
In animal research, hemp seed at 5% of the diet inhibits platelet aggregation in vitro. However, in human research, taking hemp seed oil 2 grams daily for 12 weeks does not inhibit the aggregation of platelets in vitro.

Enoxaparin (Lovenox) is a blood thinner you inject, and it already raises your bleeding risk on its own. The thought here is that hemp seed might gently nudge your platelets (the cells that help blood clot) to be a little less sticky. Stacked on top of Lovenox, the theory is that bleeding could become slightly easier.

Honestly though, this concern is weak. It comes from lab and animal studies, and a human study using 2 grams of hemp seed oil daily for 12 weeks did not show any real effect on platelets. Eating hemp seeds as food is very unlikely to matter. Still, watch for things like easy bruising, bleeding gums, or nosebleeds, and check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding concentrated hemp supplements.

About Enoxaparin Injection

What Is Enoxaparin Injection Used For?

Brand name: Lovenox

Enoxaparin injection is used to prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) — blood clots in the legs — in people having abdominal surgery, hip replacement surgery, or knee replacement surgery, and in hospitalized patients who are largely immobile due to acute illness. It is also used to treat acute DVT, with or without a pulmonary embolism (a clot in the lungs), both in the hospital and at home.

It is also used alongside aspirin to reduce dangerous complications of unstable angina and non-Q-wave heart attack, and to treat acute STEMI (a severe type of heart attack involving full blockage of a coronary artery) in patients who receive clot-dissolving therapy or undergo a procedure to open the blocked artery (PCI).
