Here's the thing about sodium nitroprusside (Nipride RTU): it's a powerful IV blood pressure medicine given only in hospital settings, usually with very close monitoring. It works fast to relax your blood vessels and bring pressure down. Rauvolfia vomitoria contains reserpine, which also lowers blood pressure by depleting certain nerve chemicals. So you have two blood-pressure-lowering effects stacking on top of each other.

In plain terms, combining them could push your pressure down too far. That might show up as dizziness, lightheadedness, a fast heartbeat, or feeling faint. I'll be honest, this concern is theoretical and based on how these compounds work, not strong studies. Still, since nitroprusside is given in a controlled hospital setting, always tell your care team about any supplement like this before treatment.
