Acetaminophen, Butalbital, Caffeine, Codeine falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Theanine interacts with.

Theoretically, theanine might have additive sedative effects when used in conjunction with CNS depressants. However, it is unclear if this concern is clinically relevant.
Theoretically, theanine may compete with glutamate and/or increase plasma gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) levels, which could cause CNS depression. In one clinical study, some subjects taking oral theanine reported drowsiness.

This combination pill already has two ingredients that can make you feel sleepy or foggy: butalbital (a barbiturate) and codeine (an opioid). Theanine, the calming amino acid from tea, may gently nudge your brain in that same relaxed direction. So in theory, putting them together could add up to a little more drowsiness, slower thinking, or feeling extra mellow.

The good news is this concern is mostly theoretical, based on how theanine is thought to work, not on strong studies. For most people it is unlikely to cause a real problem. Still, since this medicine can already make you drowsy, it is smart to see how you feel before driving and to mention the theanine to your pharmacist or doctor, especially if you notice more sleepiness than usual.
