Yohimbine, a constituent of yohimbe, has sympathomimetic effects and increases blood pressure in a dose-dependent manner. Theoretically, taking yohimbe with stimulant drugs can have additive stimulant and hypertensive effects.

Here's the thing to keep in mind with Aleve Cold and Sinus: the pseudoephedrine part is itself a stimulant decongestant that can nudge up your blood pressure and heart rate. Yohimbe also has stimulant-like activity, so stacking the two could add up. The concern is that together they might push your blood pressure higher or give you a racing or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, or trouble sleeping. The naproxen piece can also raise blood pressure on its own, so that's another small bump in the same direction.

To be fair, this is a theoretical concern based on how these ingredients work, not strong human studies. Still, since yohimbe supplements are unpredictable in strength, I'd run this combo by your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them.

Theoretically, combining yohimbe bark with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs might have additive effects; however, this has not been reported in clinical research.
Research in healthy adults shows that taking yohimbine, a constituent of yohimbe bark, in doses of 8 mg or more, seems to inhibit platelet aggregation in vitro by binding to the alpha-2 adrenoceptor. The effects of yohimbe bark itself are unclear; yohimbe bark contains 0.6% to 1.38% yohimbine, but it is unclear how much is absorbed.

Here's the gist with Aleve Cold and Sinus (naproxen plus pseudoephedrine) and yohimbe. The naproxen part already nudges your platelets to be a little less sticky, so blood can take a bit longer to clot. Lab studies suggest yohimbine, the active piece of yohimbe, may have a mild platelet-slowing effect too. Stacked together, the theoretical worry is slightly easier bruising or bleeding, like a longer nosebleed or stomach upset that lingers.

Honestly, this is a minor, unproven concern, and it hasn't shown up in real people. My bigger flag is different: pseudoephedrine and yohimbe can both raise blood pressure and heart rate, so combining them could leave you jittery or with a racing pulse. Please run this combo by your pharmacist or doctor first.

Here's the gist with Aleve Cold and Sinus (naproxen plus pseudoephedrine) and yohimbe. Lab studies suggest yohimbe might rev up an enzyme called CYP1A2, which could speed up how your body clears certain medicines. In theory, that might lower the levels of the naproxen part a bit, so you could get slightly less pain and inflammation relief. This is only a theoretical, test-tube finding, not something seen in real patients, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

My bigger concern is a different one: both pseudoephedrine and yohimbe can raise your blood pressure and heart rate. Stacking them could leave you jittery, with a pounding or racing heartbeat. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining these.

Yohimbe is a West African tree bark that contains yohimbine, a compound mainly promoted for erectile dysfunction and as an aphrodisiac. A prescription form of yohimbine has some evidence for erectile dysfunction, but over-the-counter yohimbe supplements vary widely in content and can cause serious side effects like high blood pressure and fast heart rate.
