Penbutolol Sulfate falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Yohimbe interacts with.

Theoretically, yohimbe might reduce the effects of antihypertensive drugs.
Yohimbine, a constituent of yohimbe, is an alpha-2 adrenoceptor antagonist and has been reported to increase blood pressure in clinical research. Theoretically, concomitant use of yohimbe and antihypertensive drugs can interfere with blood pressure control.

Here's the tug-of-war to be aware of: penbutolol (Levatol) lowers your blood pressure by slowing your heart and easing up your blood vessels. Yohimbe pulls in the opposite direction. The yohimbine in it can raise blood pressure and speed up your heart rate, so taking the two together could blunt how well your penbutolol controls your numbers.

This concern is mostly theoretical, based on how yohimbine works rather than strong studies, so don't panic. Still, it's worth taking seriously since blood pressure is the whole point of your medication, and over-the-counter yohimbe products vary a lot in strength. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, and never adjust your penbutolol on your own.
