Here's the gist for your Aristada shots. Your body uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help clear aripiprazole, and lab studies suggest hemp may speed that enzyme up a bit. In theory, that could nudge your medication out of your system faster, leaving slightly less of it on board. For a long-acting injection meant to keep your symptoms steady, lower levels could mean your protection isn't quite as strong, with a small risk of mood or thinking symptoms creeping back.

Now, the honest part: this is based only on test-tube research, the concern is rated minor, and we don't have real human data showing it actually happens. Eating hemp seeds or hemp oil as food is very unlikely to cause trouble. Just give your pharmacist or prescriber a heads-up before using concentrated hemp supplements.

Aripiprazole injection is used to treat schizophrenia and to provide maintenance treatment for bipolar I disorder in adults. Different injectable products carry these approvals.

Abilify Asimtufii is approved for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults and as maintenance monotherapy for bipolar I disorder in adults. Aristada is approved for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults, with Aristada Initio used specifically to help start Aristada therapy.
