Bromfenac Sodium falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Hemp interacts with.

Theoretically, hemp seed might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.
In animal research, hemp seed at 5% of the diet inhibits platelet aggregation in vitro. However, in human research, taking hemp seed oil 2 grams daily for 12 weeks does not inhibit the aggregation of platelets in vitro.

Here's the good news on this one. Bromfenac (Prolensa, Bromsite) is an NSAID eye drop you use after cataract surgery, and it works right at the surface of the eye. Very little of it gets into your bloodstream, so the theoretical bleeding concern that gets flagged with hemp and blood thinners barely applies to a drop in your eye.

The worry behind this pairing is that hemp might make platelets a little less sticky. But that idea comes from a lab and animal study, and in actual people, hemp seed oil at 2 grams a day for 12 weeks did not change platelet function. With a topical eye drop, I wouldn't lose sleep over it. If you notice unusual eye redness or bruising, just mention it to your pharmacist or surgeon.
