Hydrochlorothiazide, Moexipril falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Hemp interacts with.

Theoretically, hemp seed protein may have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
In a hypertensive animal model, hemp seed protein hydrolysate reduced systolic blood pressure by a mechanism possibly involving the inhibition of renin and angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) activities. However, there was no effect of hemp seed protein on blood pressure in normotensive animals. Furthermore, hempseed oil consumption does not seem to reduce blood pressure in humans.

Your Uniretic combines two blood pressure medicines: hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill) and moexipril (an ACE inhibitor). Interestingly, the concern with hemp here lines up with how moexipril already works. In lab and animal studies, hemp seed protein seemed to gently block renin and ACE, the same pathway your moexipril targets. So in theory, the two could add together and push your blood pressure a little lower.

In real life, this is very unlikely to cause trouble. The evidence comes from animals, and hemp seed oil hasn't lowered blood pressure in human studies. Eating hemp seeds as food shouldn't be an issue. If you notice dizziness, lightheadedness, or feeling faint when standing, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor.

Theoretically, consuming hemp seed protein isolate with ACE inhibitors might have additive effects and increase the risk of hypotension.
Hemp seed protein hydrolysate has shown ACE inhibitor-like effects in a hypertensive animal model. However, hempseed oil consumption does not seem to reduce blood pressure in humans. Until more is known, monitor blood pressure and potassium levels.

Uniretic combines two blood pressure medicines: moexipril (an ACE inhibitor) and hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill). The thinking here is that certain concentrated hemp seed proteins have shown a mild, ACE inhibitor-like effect, but only in lab dishes and animal studies. If that effect carried over to people, hemp could add to your medicine's blood-pressure-lowering action and possibly drop it too low, leaving you feeling dizzy, lightheaded, or tired.

Honestly, this is mostly theoretical. In actual human studies, hemp seed oil did not lower blood pressure, so eating hemp seeds or oil as food is unlikely to cause trouble. ACE inhibitors can also nudge potassium up, so it is worth keeping an eye on your blood pressure and potassium. Check with your pharmacist before using concentrated hemp protein supplements.
